Activating Mobile Devices

Print users can release and submit documents from a secure printer using the Pharos Secure Release mobile app. The app is available for iOS and Android mobile devices.

Printing a Test Page

1. From your workstation, click the link on your invitation email to run the Pharos Secure Release Setup Guide. Alternatively, search for Pharos Secure Release Setup Guide from the Start menu on your workstation. This will guide you through setting up your mobile device for Secure Print.

2. Select Mobile as your release method.

3. Click Start to begin the setup wizard.

4. Click on Print test page. Make sure that Pharos Secure Printer is selected.

5. Click Print. Your test page document will be held for printing. Clicking Next will take you to the Activate your Mobile Device screen.

Activating Pharos Secure Release mobile app

1. Download and install the Pharos Secure Release mobile app on your mobile device. You can download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

2. Using your mobile device, scan the QR code shown by the Setup Guide on your computer.

Your mobile device is now registered.

3. Walk up to a Secure Release enabled printer and then using your mobile device, scan the QR code attached to the printer to release the test page.
